“The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance… provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe, the most precious gift one can give to another”

~ Carl Rogers

Hello and Welcome!

I am excited that you found your way here and are considering the next step in your personal development. There are many reasons people seek therapy and finding the right fit is important, so hopefully learning a little more about me will help you with this process.

Fascinated by how and why other people think the way they do, my approach to clients is very open, curious, and guided by a strong desire to understand. Growing up in international schools, I feel very comfortable with diversity and welcome clients from all walks of life.

Early experiences in life helped me to personally understand how the content of one’s thoughts shape their reality.  When I felt trapped in unbearable circumstances during my teenage years, the only thing I could change was my thinking.  I concluded that if I could find my way out of the darkness with something I was able to control, my thoughts, then I could help others do the same.

My journey inward towards finding my Self was supported by my formal education focused on psychology and counseling. I am continuously amazed by the resilience clients have to survive and am honored when they invite me to join along in their healing journey. I can honestly say there is nothing more fulfilling that I could choose for my life than to help my clients navigate their way through theirs.

I believe my role as a therapist is to . . .

  • meet you where you are at in your process of healing

  • provide a nonjudgmental and nurturing environment that facilitates your journey towards greater health

  • be committed to understanding you so that I can best help you meet your goals for therapy

  • provide hope for you and your circumstances even when you do not think anything will change

  • follow your lead and pace so that therapy can work for you

Testimonials

"Cori brings a quiet, deep and steady presence to her work. She has gone through all of our workshops and become a healing shame practitioner in addition to all the training she did to become an MFT. She has assisted at many of our workshops. I have watched her guide sessions where she is able to gently take participants into the imaginal realm where deep work can happen. Her work is creative and insightful. She understands about coming out of shyness moving gently into brilliance of her true nature. Her presence takes counter-shaming to a new level."
